Great Tes - Great Bargain
Wonderful tea with luxurious taste. Would never buy any other tea. This is the best!

it's good
seems high quality, good taste. small savings over local bulk options, will likely order again

The sencha came in a plastic pouch (like the other herbs I purchased). When I opened the pouch and smelled the tea I was disappointed that all I could smell was the smell of the bag not the tea! This was very disappointing because as an herbalist, part of my enjoyment in using herbs and teas is enjoying their natural aroma (like opening a pouch of coffee). The plastic bags/ pouches used give off a smell that, to me, smells like a store or the box it was shipped in and it inhibits/ takes over the smell of what ever is inside. The sencha green tea, like the other herbs I purchased looked very fresh with a bright color, which is very nice. I was a little skeptical about the tea though so I did a taste test comparing this tea with the sencha I normally purchase from another supplier. This sencha as I said is a brighter, fresher looking green and when comparing the taste it had a stronger, though more bitter taste which hinted to me that though I may prefer the flavor of my other sencha, this one is probably indeed more fresh and possibly with a somewhat higher caffeine level. Not sure if the plastic packaging influenced the taste but I would suggest that the company change their packaging.
