Botanical Name: Syzygium aromaticum
Origin: Sri Lanka / India
Production: The clove tree is an evergreen with large leaves and small flowers grouped in clusters. The flower buds turn from pale blue to bright red when they are ready for harvest.
Qualities: The essential oil eugenol is what gives cloves their strong, pungent, sweet flavor.
Common Use: Cloves are used in many culinary applications, spice blends such as pumpkin spice, tea blends like chai, as well as liqueurs and mulled wines. In dentistry, clove essential oil has been used for its analgesic effects.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark location in a sealed container.
Safety: The eugenol content in cloves seems to slow blood clotting which might be harmful to people with bleeding disorders. We recommend that you consult with a qualified healthcare practitioner before using any herbal products, particularly if you are pregnant, nursing, or on any medications.

We will buy these again. These cloves were the freshest and of the highest quality we have ever seen. My wife and I crunch 2 of these between out teeth each morning and we are also making clove oil by soaking these in olive oil for a month after crushing them, deeper sleep and putting viruses on the run to name just a couple of benefits.
