Production: made from virgin, wildcrafted coconut shell charcoal, this powerfully activated charcoal is processed to create an extra fine, light powder with zero grittiness. It is steam activated using water vapour at high temperature (up to 1000C), creating a powerfully adsorptive (adsorption - the ability to bind atoms/molecules to a surface) activated charcoal with a surface area of 1550 - 1600 m2/gm.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place in an airtight container

This is the least expensive and best activated charcoal source in the country! For anyone who appreciates the longevity science or emergency (poison) response - daily usage of this product - they understand the dosage is entirely possible through OM’s pricing of this clean and active charcoal. I mix at least one tablespoon in water and sip through the day (usually before brushing teeth/leaving home) and although one could argue capsules are easier...they are 5X the price AT BEST!!! Beyond grateful for Organic Matters for coming through with another incredible and affordable product to help keep my family shielded from common diseases and further cultivating qualities of radiant health. I was bitten by a brown recluse. 8 days of antibiotics did nothing but slow the process and necrosis was setting in. A friend told me about activated charcoal poultices to draw out the venom. She showed me how to prepare and put one on my foot. 12 hours later, 50% of the swelling and redness were gone. After two weeks of poultices, my foot was almost normal again. I'm back on my two feet again thanks to the poultices.
