Mung bean pebbles
The bag of mung beans I purchased are not labeled from China, but Argentina. The first cup of beans I sprouted produced over a quart of sprouts. However, several of the beans failed to sprout and remained inedible unseen little rock-type pebbles hidden among the sprouts. Not pleasant to crunch on while eating. I sorted through the quart of beans and pulled out probably 2 Tablespoons of these pebbles...still missing some.
Organic Mung Beans-A Hearty Simple Meal
When I do not have time to cook vegetable soup from fresh vegetables, I'll cook a simple mung bean dish, and pair with feta cheese on crackers.Mung Bean Meal:Boil Mung Beans and Chia Seeds together (chia contains nutrients and oil), in 3:1 ratio. Season with ground Black Peppercorns. After about 30 minutes, add fresh Onion and fresh Garlic, cut small. (Onion, garlic, and black pepper will cut the viscosity of cooked chia seeds.) Boil until vegetables are tender. Serve Mung Bean dish with Feta Cheese on Crackers.
