ORGANIC ORANGE PEEL, cut
Hurry up! Sales Ends In
Origin: South Africa / Ghana / Peru / Egypt / USA / Spain
Production: The peel of the ripe fruit is removed and then dried and cut. It is believed that the sweet orange originates in China and now is cultivated in virtually every country across the globe with most of the current production coming from Florida, California, and parts of the Mediterranean.
Qualities: Surprisingly, the peel of the orange contains substantially more enzymes, flavonoids, and phytonutrients than the fruit itself. Orange is known for providing the body with vitamin C and A and for relieving congestion and respiratory distress.
Common Use: Orange peel adds a lovely tart sweetness to tea blends (you can find it in our Mulling Spice and Laxative Tea). It blends well with green and black teas, goji berry, hibiscus, rose hips and chamomile. It can also be powdered to add to cold drinks or used in cosmetics, household cleaners, or in jams, jellies, or stir-fries.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark location in a sealed container.
Safety: We recommend that you consult with a qualified healthcare practitioner before using any herbal products, particularly if you are pregnant, nursing, or on any medications.

No flavor or aroma
I was hoping to add these to infuse tea, but was disappointed when I opened the bag and there was no citrusy scent. I tasted a few pieces and there was no flavor. I added it to hot water from my kettle to see if anything would be released, but unfortunately it still did not have any taste or aroma. Now I'm not sure what to do with this and I'm bit confused as to what the point of this product is.
Org Orange Peel
Should have paid better attention to the fact that this is dried orange ‘peel’, pith and all. Pith, the white stuff under the orange peel, is bitter. Unfortunately, that bitterness comes thru in this product, along with the orange essence. Not sure if or how I will use it.
