Production: Echinacea purpurea is a flowering plant in the sunflower family that is native to North America. The plant blooms cone-shaped yellow and purple blossoms throughout the spring and summer.
Qualities: Echinacea is one of the most widely used herbal medicines in North America. It is most often used to support immune health function, purify the blood, reduce inflammation, speed wound healing, and treat cold and flu symptoms.
Common Use: The root can be brewed into a tea or used powdered and encapsulated. Echinacea can also be used topically to cleanse and heal wounds, skin irritations, burns, and other skin conditions.
