Ingredients: organic carob powder, organic palm kernel stearin (No rainforests were destroyed in its production), organic inulin, organic sunflower lecithin, organic cinnamon, salt
Production: Carob is a flowering evergreen shrub in the pea family (locust). In autumn, the plant blooms small, spirally arranged flowers that are pollinated by wind and insects. The fruit produced is a long legume (pod) that takes a year to develop and ripen. The pod is dried, roasted, and processed into chips.
Qualities: Carob is naturally sweet and is often used as a chocolate-like substitute for cocoa. Perhaps the primary reason for this is that unlike cocoa, carob does not contain theobromine or caffeine, which are both stimulants. Carob is rich in calcium and fiber.
Common Use: these very creamy and tasty carob chips are delicious in baking recipes as a replacement for chocolate chips or in trail mixes or straight out of the bag. If you thought you do not like carob, these chips will change your mind!
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in a sealed container.

I can’t have chocolate… I’ve been looking for carob chips made without palm oil or made with sustainable palm oil for years. I was thrilled to finally find these! The company was helpful, they quickly answered all my questions. The carob chips are tasty and were well packaged. (I was worried about them melting in the heat) I will be ordering them again and again! So far I had them as a topping in an açaí bowl but have a lot of other ideas for them!
