Botanical Name: Stevia rebaudiana
Origin: India
Production: Powdered stevia leaf is produced from the dried foliage of an evergreen shrub related to the sunflower native to South America. In temperate regions, it can be grown as an annual or herbaceous perennial.
Qualities: Stevia leaves have a gentle licorice-like flavour and a sweetness that is said to be up to 200 times stronger than sugar. Research has shown that stevia, as a sweetener, does not contribute calories or carbohydrates to the diet and that it has no effect on blood glucose or insulin response. This means that it is an especially good alternative sweetener for people with diabetes or those who are wishing to reduce their caloric intake from sweeteners.
Common Use: Stevia is used as an alternative to sugar in beverages, baked goods, and many other foods. Because it is so much sweeter than sugar, only a very small amount is needed.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark place in a sealed container.

Stevia Leaf

I have been ordering stevia leaf cut and sift from Essential Organics for about a year now. Great flavor and quality. My last order I received stevia powder by mistake but their customer service was above and beyond and they quickly replaced the order with the correct product within days. Great Stevia Leaf

We had tried other stevia leaf, but they haven’t compared to this! Fresh and not bitter, this stevia has been excellent for making a homemade stevia extract. We will definitely purchase again.

Great Price and Great Flavor

This stevia is far more superior than others we have tried. It’s very cost effective and it’s been relatively easy to use it (we make liquid stevia with it). The bright green color indicates how fresh it is and it’s not bitter, which is also awesome. Very happy and plan to buy again soon.

I usually buy my bulk stevia leaf from Amazon. Like most people I like a deal so having found your website I thought I had found a bargain. I found your stevia leaf as compared to the Amazon leaf to be only about a third as potent and very ''grassy'' tasting and smelling. I truly wish I had not ordered much less the 2 pounds quantity. 15 dollars for shipping is a bit much considering the quality is so LOW. Sorry you asked.
