Ingredients: green peas
Process: steamed, pressed, and dehydrated
Directions: just add hot water and let sit for 3 minutes until thick. Or you can heat up water on the stove and stir in the flakes. Add spices as you like and you have a delicious instant split pea soup or sauce/dip (if you use less water). Great for camping!
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark location (the lovely green color will fade if exposed to light), in a well-sealed container.

Delicious Comfort Soup!
For a thicker soup I fill a small pot about 1/4 with water and add 2 ladels of flakes, medium flame, then stir till it starts to thicken. I then add Himalayan salt, onion powder, white pepper, red pepper and garlic powder. I'm going to experiment with with adding some other seasonings like oregano, tumeric, cumin and corriander. These soup flakes are like a blank canvas. Just color to taste!

I have been buying the small single serving cups for a long time. I tried this product and found it to be cost effective, easy to prepare, and of course healthy. I bring it to work as my lunch 3 days per week.

This was my first order and I was bummed, as I tried eating it twice and couldn't finish it as my body rejected it due to a really bad "stale taste". It came in a clear plastic bag,so my guess is was it was shelved for a long period of time and/or the light affected it or ? I've eaten bulk pea soup before from my health co-op and it never had the stale taste as your product.

Very happy to find this product organic. I am experimenting with how to make my own instant split pea soup. I could use suggestions on what other ingredients/spices to use, but I am forging ahead on my own! LOL! Thanks for a quality product!
